Picture spring - Day 1

Picture Spring is a workshop at Big Picture Scrapbooking taught by Tracey Clark from Shutter Sisters. I've registered and it started yesterday.

The first prompt was "New beginnings" and was illustrated by a shot of a small seedling. I could think of a dozen plants on the terrace that are currently sprouting and took several pictures. I then thought about Gaëtan who has started walking a few days ago: this is really the beginning of a new era for him (and us!)... I realised however that I preferred to focus on nature as much as I could, so my final choice was this picture of our raspberry plant:

I hesitated with these small germinating seeds or this one of our redcurrant plant. But I liked the lime green/brown combo and the tiny little thorns of the raspberry cane better ;)

And regarding Gaëtan? I've taken a couple of pictures of him walking on the terrace but they weren't really good anyway. Cute (of course) but not beautiful...

This mama is soooo proud of her little boy!

Day2's prompt was "your morning ritual"... unfortunately when I read Tracey's email my morning was loooong gone, so I'll take my picture tomorrow!
